Scholarships and funding

Educational financing

Scholarships (grants) are funded by UWC colleges, independent donors and foundations that support the education of Armenian students in UWC colleges.

Because of limited number of scholarships financial support for the students are need-based.

UWC Armenia’s main supporter is Scholae Mundi Armenia Charity Foundation.

Nomination of candidates and educational financing

Shortlisted candidates are nominated for a particular UWC college. As a general rule, colleges admit candidates based on the Selection Committees’ recommendations. However, each college reserves the right to make the final decision concerning each individual candidate.

Upon being nominated for a particular college and confirming their intention to enroll, those candidates seeking educational scholarships will receive a financial assessment form. Together with the completed form, candidate’s parents must submit paperwork verifying household income and expenses.

The Financial Evaluation Committee shall review the submitted paperwork and determine the scholarship amount for the candidate.

The amount of the scholarship is not subject to change. The candidate and parents can either agree to the proposed amount of financial participation of the family, or refuse from the place offered.
